Step Three. Working With Peregrine

No-cost consultation
We appreciate how important home renovation projects are to our clients. That is why we take our initial calls seriously. When you call, we first make sure we are the right company for your project. Then we set up a meeting so you get a better feel for our company and projects. If you feel we are a good match, we meet with you in your home, at no charge, to discuss your renovation project. We are also happy to show you some of our projects. We will talk about your design ideas, your timeline and budget and come up with a rough budget and design agreement for you to consider.

The rough budget and design agreement
We then present to you a rough budget based on your wish list. Our rough budget estimation process includes a 300 item checklist, to help you understand what we think the project will cost. The Design Agreement allows us to move forward and design your project. It is a separate contract than the construction contract and the design fee incorporates all the conceptual design stages, drawings, blueprints, revisions, product selections, specifications, final drawings and a fixed cost price. The design fee usually runs about 3-5% of the project’s rough budget.
The design phase
Our design team works with you to create design ideas and layouts for the project. Working together we come up with material ideas, layout suggestions (using 3-D animation) and design ideas that fit into your budget. Once the design work is complete, we provide you with a specification list, finished blueprint drawings, and a fixed cost price.

The building phase
You will have a dedicated project manager, and lead carpenter, who will work with you. The project manager, and lead, will oversee the crew and coordination of all meetings with subcontractors, permit officials and deliveries. They are also available to you at all times to answer any questions or concerns you may have from the design stage to completion. Our team is always available to answer your questions or concerns.

Completion stage
Toward the end of the project, you and the lead carpenter will walk through and create a punch list of items to be completed. We will then present you with a binder of your project. The binder includes product instruction manuals, paint colors and other important information.

Warranty work
Our warranty program is exceptional in the industry. We contact you to make sure everything is to your standards and encourage you to call us if you have any issues. We build relationships with our clients, we want them to always consider Peregrine when they have a project, and we do this by doing it right the first time, that includes fixing things in a timely manner.
